Гитарист американской рок-группы Red Hot Chili Peppers Джон Фрусчанте ушел из коллектива. Об этом изданию MusicRadar рассказал источник, близкий к музыкантам.

По его словам, Джон устал от работы в команде и сосредоточился на сольном творчестве.

Остальные участники Red Hot Chili Peppers уже некоторое время репетируют с новым гитаристом Джошем Клингхоффером (Josh Klinghoffer), известным по сотрудничеству с Беком, Пи Джей Харви, Sparks, Gnarls Barkley и другими. Официального подтверждения этой информации от самой группы пока не поступало.

Джон Фрусчанте, впервые появившийся в составе Red Hot Chili Peppers в 1988 году, не в первый раз бросает группу. В 1992 году после выхода очень успешного альбома "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" гитарист оставил коллег, не выдержав обрушившейся на группу славы, а также не совладав со своей наркотической зависимостью. Спустя семь лет Фрусчанте вернулся в коллектив, став одним из основных его авторов.

Последние два года Red Hot Chili Peppers пребывали в творческом отпуске после длительного тура в поддержку диска "Stadium Arcadium" и вернулись к активной деятельности в октябре 2009 года.
