Группа Linkin Park записала четвертый альбом

Американская рок-группа Linkin Park завершила запись своего четвертого студийного альбома.

Как сообщает Blabbermouth.net, диск получил название "A Thousand Suns" и будет выпущен лейблом Warner Bros. Records 14 сентября. Первым синглом с пластинки станет композиция "The Catalyst", она будет презентована на радио и поступит в продажу в онлайн-магазине iTunes 2 августа.

Продюсерами "A Thousand Suns", как и предыдущего альбома "Minutes to Midnight" (2007), выступили вокалист Linkin Park Майк Шинода и Рик Рубин, известный по работе с AC/DC, U2, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, System of a Down, Slipknot, Rage Against the Machine, Джонни Кэшем, Томом Петти и другими.

С 9 июля на странице Linkin Park в социальной сети MySpace стартует конкурс для поклонников "Linkin Park, Featuring You". Желающие могут скачать фрагменты песни "The Catalyst", чтобы создать из них собственные творения. Песня-победитель будет либо включена в альбом "A Thousand Suns", либо исполнена Linkin Park вместе с автором на одном из концертов группы.

Осенью коллектив отправится на гастроли в поддержку новой пластинки. Турне начнется 9 октября в Чили, продолжится в Бразилии, а затем переместится в Европу. В частности, Linkin Park сыграют в Германии, Австрии, Франции, Дании, Швейцарии и Великобритании.
